This sample configuration connects two subnets over an unnumbered WAN sync link.

Location 1: Router Address : 192.168.201.1 Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0 Broadcast Address: 192.168.201.255

Location 2: Router Address : 192.168.202.1 Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0 Broadcast Address: 192.168.202.255

Location 1 Router

Connect to the router at location 1 through the AUX port using the supplied black cable or telnet to the router at the default IP address of 198.41.12.1.

At the command line prompt type in the default password: letmein .

Configure the router using the following commands:

Ethernet Port

interface ethernet a
set ip on (default)
set ip address  192.168.201.1
set ip mask  255.255.255.0
set ip broadcast  192.168.201.255

WAN Port

interface wan a
set ip wan unnumbered (default)

Link Configuration

set wan mode ppp (default)
set wan connect mode dedicated
set wan serial type sync ext

Static Route(s)

add ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 0 1 both (default)

Location 2 Router
