Mounting Instructions
For best performance, the antennas should point toward each other in a clear line of sight. Obstructions, such as trees or heavy rain, may cause a reduction in range. You should avoid any substantial obstructions between the antennas such as buildings or hills.
For any new installations, use temporary mounting materials so that you can test the antennas in several mounting locations. After mounting the antennas, test the performance by sending traffic between RANGELINKs. You do not have to point the antennas directly at each other in order to establish a good link. In the horizontal plane, the antennas should be oriented ±22° and in the vertical plane within ±18°.
After identifying the best location, permanently mount the antennas using the four mounting holes.
