The BR-SIT01 and BR-SXT01 are full-featured high speed routers that route LAN traffic over WANs at speeds up to 2 Mbps. The BR-SXT01 routes TCP/IP, IPX, Appletalk, and DECNET while the BR-SIT01 routes TCP/IP. Both models are compatible with standard phone line modems, ISDN, leased lines, and Frame Relay at up to T1/E1 speeds.
The dial-on-demand feature will automatically dial out when the router detects network traffic to be routed, and disconnect the call after a user specified time of inactivity. These routers feature a V.35 WAN port with speeds to 2.0 Mbps synchronous and a secondary RS-232 WAN port with speeds to 256 Kbps synchronous or asynchronous. The secondary WAN port, although usually used for fall-back routing in case the primary link fails, can be used independently for a second dedicated WAN link.
Supports both PPP and Frame Relay. Up to 64 Frame Relay DLCIs are supported. A full range of security features are provided including IP and IPX packet filtering, CHAP, PAP authentication, and support for the RADIUS authentication protocol.
These routers are manageable from the command line interface, in-band via Telnet, SNMP, and the Routerview Windows (or optional Macintosh) GUI program included with each router.
